I grew up in Zambia, southern Africa, where I learned a love for tea, soccer, people, and culture. These passions have developed into a deep appreciation for individuals with unique passions and personalities. I took up photography hoping to keep meeting new people for the rest of my life, sharing their stories and beauty through the medium of imagery.

Working for the Visual Arts Department at John Brown University, I had the privilege of learning and managing their vast inventory of professional photographic and cinematic equipment. I was in charge of unboxing new equipment, putting it into the online rental software, checking items regularly for functionality, and readying gear for students as well as recommending additional equipment that could make their projects more effective.

I have lived in four different countries and speak a few languages, so I love to learn. In my free time, I write poems and enjoy listening to friends talk about their new discoveries and realizations.

I primarily photograph people and thematic stories, but I also enjoy creating visual poetry, some of which you can find in my book, “Pursuit,” a collection of photographically-illustrated poems regarding the human experience and our quest for belonging. I also dabble in minimalist graphic layout, user experience, and typography.
